The measuring happens in your browser. No sound is recorded, stored or sent.
On average people type about 40 words per minute and speak about 120. For a 200-word prompt that is five minutes versus one minute and 40 seconds.
Hold the hotkey and talk.
Plain Hebrew, the way you talk, English words included. Let go, and the text lands where your cursor is.
Anywhere you can type.
A small app. It does one thing, well.
It waits in the background and shows up only when you hold the hotkey. One screen with what you dictated, one short settings screen.
-
Detailed prompts in a third of the time
When saying it takes a third of the time of typing it, it is easy to add what the AI needs to know: who you are, what the goal is, and what the answer should look like. A detailed prompt usually gets a better answer, and you do not tire out from typing.
-
Real Hebrew, with English mixed in
Dugri is built for Hebrew, and it also picks up most English words that get mixed into speech, such as tool names and professional terms. You talk the way you talk, and the text comes out readable.
-
Your voice stays with you
Your speech becomes text on your own computer. Recordings are not sent to any server, are deleted automatically after 14 days (you can change that), and you can dictate even without an internet connection.
How it works
Three steps. After a day you stop thinking about them.
-
Hold the hotkey
In any app, choose the place you want to write in and hold the hotkey. A small capsule appears at the bottom of the screen, which means recording has started.
-
Talk
Say your prompt in Hebrew, and mix in English words if you like. No need to recite, and no need to read out punctuation marks.
-
Let go, and it types
A moment later the text appears exactly where your cursor is. Read it, fix a word if needed, and send.
In any app you can type in.
ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Gmail, Word, WhatsApp Web and the terminal. The text is written where your cursor is, no copy and paste.
How is it different from Wispr Flow
Wispr Flow is a well-known dictation app. It is a good app, and there are things it does that we do not. Here is the difference, in plain terms.
| Wispr Flow | Dugri | |
|---|---|---|
| Price in Israel | ₪30per month | ₪24per month |
| Hebrew | Its own app states that its text style adjustment works in English only. | Built for Hebrew from the start. |
| Where it runs | Also available on Mac and phone. | Does one thing: Hebrew dictation on Windows. |
If you write in Hebrew, mix in English words and work on Windows, Dugri is built for exactly that.
Wispr Flow's price was checked in October 2026 and may change.
Simple pricing.

After you download. Four steps.
This is what the first run looks like, including the warning Windows may show. The whole thing takes a few minutes.
-
Open the file you downloaded
It is in your Downloads folder. If your browser says it does not recognise the file, choose to keep it anyway.
-
If Windows shows a blue screen
This happens because Dugri is new, and Windows warns about any app that has not built up a reputation with Microsoft yet. Press "More info", then "Run anyway".
-
Sign in with your email
Answer three short questions, type the email you signed up with and enter the code we send to it. No password. Not signed up yet? The app will point you to start the trial.
-
Set up and try it
The app downloads the part that understands Hebrew once, checks your microphone and shows you the hotkey. Hold it, talk, and it types.
To stay safe: only download Dugri from this site, and the file name is exactly Dugri_1.0.0_x64-setup.exe. If your antivirus blocks the install, write to us and we will help.
Questions
The short answers. Full details are in the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
A prompt is the instruction or question you write to an AI such as ChatGPT or Claude. The more detailed it is, the better the answer usually is.
No. You install it, sign in with your email and go through a short setup of a few minutes. After that there is only one thing to remember: the hotkey.
No. Your speech becomes text on your computer, and recordings and history are stored only on it. Only your subscription details, the device name and the answers to the short questionnaire at the start are sent to our payments and licensing service, to verify your subscription. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Anywhere you can type text: AI chat in the browser or a desktop app, a terminal (for example with Claude Code), a code editor, email, Word, WhatsApp Web. The text is written where your cursor is.
Dugri is built for Hebrew and handles most English words that get mixed into speech, such as tool names and technical terms. It is not perfect, and sometimes you will need to fix a word.
Once at the start, to download the component that understands Hebrew (about 1.6 GB of disk space) and activate your subscription. After that dictation works without a connection. The app checks your subscription from time to time, and if you are offline it keeps working for up to 7 days, then you need to connect once.
Yes. For now Dugri is available for Windows only, with no version for Mac or phone.
In Settings, under Subscription, press Manage subscription and cancel on the payments site. No phone calls and no attempts to talk you out of it. The subscription keeps working until the end of the period that was paid for.
One subscription works on up to 2 devices. To move to another computer, disconnect the old device in Settings and sign in on the new one.
If you really use Dugri during your trial week, you get another week free. The rule is simple: dictate 5,000 words within the 7 trial days, about 40 minutes of talking, and the trial grows by 7 more days. Once per subscription. The Dictation screen shows how many words are left, and only the word count is sent, never your text.
Because Dugri is new and Windows does not know it yet. If a blue screen appears, press "More info" and then "Run anyway". Only download Dugri from this site. All the steps are in the install guide.
